Leenyx Technologies, a medical distribution company, added an Aesthetics Division in 2007. In 2018, the company rebranded as Dermafrica, becoming the leading distributor of minimally invasive aesthetic medicine in Africa.

Dermafrica is led by skilled medical doctors and has a network of experienced medical reps. The company is selective in the brands they represent, choosing only the best possible solutions through exclusive brands.

Dermafrica places great emphasis on training and education, believing that a product is only as good as the person using it. Their products undergo continuous testing to ensure optimal results and effective protocols.

Dr Johan Botha

Founder MBChB MMED (LET O) (STELL) Since founding the company, Dr Botha has been on the quest to bring innovation to the medical aesthetic market and to introduce leading global brands to the South African market. He has always had an interest in revolutionary products and market trends in the industry. An ENT surgeon by profession, Dr Botha also has the distinction of being a certified Aptos trainer.

Dr Marisa Heyns

Head of Clinical MBChB (UCT) MSc Aesthetic Medicine A general practitioner with a Masters in Aesthetic Medicine and Therapeutics practicing in the field of regenerative medical aesthetics and soft surgery. A KOL in Plexr, as well as the certified Plexr trainer for South Africa. Dr Heyns heads up the clinical training and act as clinical consultant for mesoestetic South Africa, as well as training doctors in methods of PRP (Platelet rich plasma rejuvenation), Mesotherapy and Lipolysis Techniques.

Marianne Amann

National Sales Manager Marianne has over 30 years’ experience in sales and service in the medical industry. She is passionate about investment in good skin, excellent client service and loves travel and good food.

Louise Farr

Head of Marketing Louise works to ensure that the company, and the brands it represents, has a strong presence in the South African market. She is passionate about the evolution of marketing and eagerly takes on new challenges, having led two start-ups from concept to consumer.

Mariska Ronander

Head of Administration Having been with the company since its inception, Mariska has helped steer Dermafrica to where it is today. She takes care of much more than her title describes, but has a keen interest in all-things-data. To decompress, she takes on mountain bike trails.

Lize van Zyl

Head of Training and Brand Manager Lize Van Zyl has extensive experience in the professional skincare, cosmetic and medical aesthetic industry. She loves teaching and has a passion for training. She is particularly excited about the opportunities that exist within the E-Learning space.
